Starlight Cabinet | October 2025

The Starlight Cabinet is a medicine cabinet designed for the PMA 2025 Design Competition honoring design Sebastian Errazuriz. The cabinet combines whimsy with function, inspired by research of user needs and desires. The four independent mirrored doors allow the user to acess all shelves while using the mirror to get ready. The interior holds a lightboard which creates a vanity effect for putting on makeup, styling hair, etc. A star motif illuminates through the cutout of the curved doors.

PMA 2025 Design Competition Brief:

Create a sideboard, console or cabinet that embodies the spirit and discipline in the work of Sebastian Errazuriz, a Chilean industrial designer and artist known for his thought-provoking, functional, and often surreal furniture, sculptures, and installations. His work blends art, design, and technology, challenging conventional aesthetics and exploring themes like life, death, and consumer culture.
